Picture frames are one way that you can display your photos. The problem with picture frames is they take up quite a bit of room and can be quite costly. You can make your own picture holder, that can hold several different pictures and will take up a fraction of the space, with a few supplies from the craft store. The best part of a homemade picture holder is the money it will save you over picture frames.
Instructions
Creating a Picture Holder
- 1
Take your crafting wire, and before cutting a length from the spool, grab the end of the wire with your needle nose pliers and begin to make a coil. The coil should be loose and wrap around about three to four times; this is what will hold your picture. After completing the coil, snip the craft wire at least 6 inches from the bottom of the coil. Make five to seven of these pieces, varying their length.
2Take your super glue and spread a little around the bottom 2 inches of your wire pieces, one at a time, and stick them into the center of the top of your Styrofoam cube. You want to stick them in so that they are at different heights and stick out of the cube at different angles. The tallest craft wire piece should stick straight up; the rest of the pieces should stick up and out. When you are done, they should look something like a bouquet of flowers.
3Take your picture holder and place it in the center of your circle of fabric. Gather the fabric up around the cube at the base of the craft wire pieces. Tie a 12 inch piece of ribbon around the gathered fabric, tightly, to hold it in place. Tie the ribbon with a bow to make it more decorative.
4Place your pictures in the craft wire coils and put your picture holder on a shelf or table top for everyone to admire.
