How to Build an Airbrush Stand

An airbrush has a small bottle, nozzle and an air compressor line that is connected to the back of the nozzle. The airbrush does not always stand on a flat surface without tipping over. A simple airbrush stand is similar to a boot jack. The "V" of the tool holds the bottle while the handle helps to balance the nozzle and air compressor line. Make a simple airbrush holder from a 1/2-inch forked twig and a piece of scrap lumber.

Locate a 1/2-inch twig/branch with a fork. The branch looks like something that could be used to make an old time sling shot. Cut the arms of the fork from the branch, leaving 3 inches of the fork attached to the twig or branch.

Cut the arm beneath the fork 8 inches long. The cut twig/branch will look like the letter "Y" when complete.

Center and place the 2-by-2-by-1-inch scrap lumber under the joint of the "Y." This is where the "V" connects to the bottom leg.

Nail the "Y" to the wood scrap. Place the paint chamber inside the "V."
