Homemade Banquet Place Cards

Homemade Banquet Place Cards

If you are planning a banquet for your family and friends, it can be difficult to organize the table seating without place cards for each guest. Although you can buy place cards at a party supply store, you can make the place cards more personal and artistic by making them yourself using basic craft materials. Once the place cards are complete with each guest's name, you can place them on the banquet table to help your guests find their seat.

Instructions

    1

Fold a sheet of card stock in half width-wise.

    2

Cut the folded sheet of card stock into a 5-inch shape using pinking shears. Cut the form so that one side is along the fold. The shears will make the edges of the shape ruffled and scalloped.

    3

Write a guest's name onto one side of the folded card using a paint pen.

    4

Sprinkle glitter onto the wet paint from the pen, and allow the paint to dry completely.

    5

    Shake off the excess glitter.

    6

Trace around the edges of the card using glitter glue. Allow the glue to dry completely.

    7

Open up the card, and place it onto the banquet table. Repeat for each guest.
