How to Set Up a Drink Table at a Dinner Party

Instead of setting out glasses and pitchers filled with one or two beverages at a dinner party, offer your guests options by setting up a table specifically for drinks. A drink table stocked with an array of different types of drinks and glassware gives your guests the option to create any type of drink they'd like. Put thought into the arrangement of this featured element to set up an efficient drink table. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Cover the table with a tablecloth. Use a disposable plastic tablecloth for easy cleanup of spills.

    2

Set out drinks on one side of the table. Place taller containers toward the back of the table and shorter containers toward the front. Position the containers so that their labels are facing forward for easy reading.

    3

Place cups on the other end of the table. Set out a variety of glasses to cater to peoples' needs and different types of drinks: "rocks" glasses, martini glasses, margarita glasses and pint glasses, for example. Arrange the glasses in descending order, with taller glasses toward the back of the table and shorter glasses toward the front.

    4

Set an ice bowl on the center of the table. Use a decorative ice bowl and rest a pair of tongs inside of it or next to it.

    5

Fill canisters with straws, spoons and mixers. Place the canisters on either side of the ice bowl.

    6

Add decorative accents to the table by displaying bouquets of balloons or flowers on either side of the table.
