How to Make Table Number Cards for Wedding

How to Make Table Number Cards for Wedding

When you are organizing a wedding dinner or reception, it is customary to place decorative number cards onto the tables so guests know where they are supposed to sit. Many people purchase custom table number cards from a graphic arts shop or wedding store. However, custom table number cards can be costly and add to your overall budget. One solution is to make your own decorative table number cards using a few inexpensive craft supplies.

Instructions

    1

Cut a rectangle from colored card stock using pinking shears to measure 8 inches wide and 6 inches long. The pinking shears will cut the paper using a scalloped edging. Fold the card stock rectangle in half width-wise. Press the fold flat with your hand.

    2

Cut out a rectangle from white or cream-colored card stock using scissors to measure 6 inches wide and 4 inches long. Fold the card stock rectangle in half width-wise. Press the fold flat with your hand.

    3

Coat the underside of the white or cream-colored card stock form with a thin layer of tacky glue, then place the glue-covered paper onto the colored card stock form. Center the smaller folded form on top of the larger folded form, then allow the glue to dry for 30 minutes.

    4

Squeeze a small dollop of glitter glue onto each rounded portion of the scalloped edging. Allow the glitter glue to dry for 30 minutes.

    5

Write the table number onto the front of the folded card form using a metallic paint pen. Use your most beautiful script when you write the number. Allow the paint to dry for 30 minutes before placing the table number card onto the corresponding table.
