DIY Paper Place Cards

DIY Paper Place Cards

Whether you are hosting a small holiday dinner with family or a large-scale banquet for business relations or even wedding receptions; place cards can add a delicate touch of class to just about any event. As well as being relatively inexpensive, place cards can be created in a wide range of shapes, sizes and colors; making them easy to coordinate to any color scheme or overall theme. With a few supplies, you can make professional-looking place cards for your next event.

Instructions

    1

Place your 5 1/2 x 11 inch card stock in front of you with one of the long sides facing toward you.

    2

Fold your card stock in half by taking the top edge and folding it down to meet the bottom edge. Both 11-inch sides should be touching.

    3

Turn your pen on its side and run the pen along the fold to create a crease. Press the pen down firmly.

    4

Decide if you would like to write the name on the place card by hand or print the font with a printer.

    5

Write the names on the place cards with a writing utensil if you chose to write the names by hand.

    6

Choose the font you would like to use and print it out on a piece of card stock or a regular piece of paper if you chose to print the names. Cut out the names with scissors as close to the letters as possible and glue them to the card stock.

    7

Decorate your place cards with anything you would like to use. You can sprinkle glitter on them or even draw designs on them with markers.

    8

Pick up your place card you have just decorated and take both sides of the card stock at the bottom and pull them apart wide enough so the card can stand up by itself.
