Place cards are more than just a way to assign seats to your wedding guests. They also make a great contribution to the theme and dcor of your room. Glass place card holders provide elegance and charm and will be noticed by your guests. You don't have to pay a high price for these place card holders but can instead repurpose existing products to create your own glass place card holders.
Instructions
Create your own glass place card holders
- 1
Measure the width and height of the coaster window. Use a pen or computer and printer to print the name of each guest on the card stock or construction paper, making sure the text doesn't extend beyond the width of the window of the picture frame coaster.
2Using a pencil and ruler (if necessary), mark the coaster outline on the back of the card stock or paper. Do this on the back so the lines won't show through the window.
3Cut the shape out of the card stock using scissors or a utility knife. When you first cut out the shape, be sure to cut just a bit outside of the lines, so you'll have a little extra room if you make a mistake or need to trim.
4Slide the paper into the center of the window of the coaster, so the name shows through the window. Tie a ribbon around the top or bottom of the glass place card holder, or wrap ribbon around the corners.
5Set one place card holder at each table setting.
