Easy Instructions to Make a Cookbook Stand

Easy Instructions to Make a Cookbook Stand

If you are following a recipe, it's essential to be able to see what you are doing, without too much effort. Having recipe books lying open next to the stove can lead to them becoming dirty or damaged, however, which can be very off-putting. Luckily, it's easy to make a cookbook holder that displays the correct page without the book getting dirty.

Instructions

    1

Clip the metal clips onto the coat hanger, over the metal and close to the edges.

    2

Glue the back of the metal clips, and hold the sheet of cardboard or wood to the back.

    3

Hold until the glue sticks the sheet on securely.

    4

Measure 5.85 inches from the side of the second sheet of cardboard, and draw a line.

    5

Cut the cardboard in half down the mark to produce two identical pieces of cardboard.

    6

Glue the pieces of cardboard together into a right angle, or backwards "L" shape.

    7

Lean the cookbook holder backwards until it rests against the stand, with the bottom of the L lying across the table or surface. The cookbook holder should now be at a readable angle. Apply glue across the edges of the stand, and hold in place until the glue has set.

    8

Decorate the holder by gluing pictures of food on and varnishing over the top.

    9

Allow the varnish to completely dry.

    10

Attach the cookbook by opening to the correct page and clipping the page in.
