How to Make a Card Holder

How to Make a Card Holder

Display your business cards for visitors or potential clients by placing them on your work desk. Go one step further to make the cards stand out by arranging them in a card holder, which will prop up the card in a visually pleasing and useful way. You can buy a card holder from an office supply store, or you can make our own business card holder using craft supplies.

Instructions

    1

Shape a 4-inch piece of polymer clay into a form, such as an animal, a person or a free-form shape.

    2

Press one side of the sculpture onto a table top to make a flat bottom.

    3

Slice the shape in half lengthwise.

    4

Smooth the edges of the two shapes with your fingers.

    5

Roll out a 1-inch piece of polymer clay into a flat, 1/4-inch-thick slab.

    6

Place the two shapes onto the slab, arranging them so that they are about 1/8 inch apart. Smooth the edges of all of the pieces together.

    7

Place the card holder onto a cookie sheet, and bake it in an oven at 200 degrees F for 10 minutes.

    8

Allow the card holder to cool completely before placing your business cards into it.
