Ideas to Decorate Wedding Rehearsal Tables with a Music Theme

Ideas to Decorate Wedding Rehearsal Tables with a Music Theme

When decorating wedding rehearsal tables, it is important to choose a theme that is personal to the bride and groom and easily understandable to the wedding rehearsal attendees. Symbolic and impressive decorations are key. There are many ways to decorate with a musical theme that are both creative and relatively easy to accomplish.

Centerpieces, Tables and Chairs

Try to create a centerpiece in the shape of a treble clef. Use malleable wire covered in a decorative embellishment, such as yarn, colorful piping or ribbon. Or, use wood, cardboard or card stock paper that is decorated to fit the color theme. Decorate the tablecloths for each setting with a musical staff along the bottom in a transparent shade that matches the color theme for a subtle music-influenced look. If you plan to have flower arrangement centerpieces on each table, insert colorful musical notes throughout the arrangement. Cut musical notes from colorful card stock or metallic paper, attach each to the top of a thin wire holder, and insert the wire holders throughout the arrangement. Decorate the chairs in a musical theme by stamping plain seat cushions with musical notes or making seat covers adorned with musical notes. This would work well for smaller wedding parties but may be expensive for larger groups.

Placeholders

Try to create placeholders that double in function as favors to ensure your guests will remember your theme after the event. Use card stock paper to make musical notes to serve as the placeholder marker for each guest. You can also use a traditional blank folded card placeholder for each guest and decorate it with musical notes. Create an edible favor of a pack of sugar cookies in the shape of musical notes for each guest. Other edible favors can include cupcakes decorated with musical notes or chocolate melted down into the shape of musical notes. One way to make the musical theme extremely personal to each guest is to make each person's placeholder sheet music from his favorite song. This may require a little research on your part, but it would be an interesting favor people will cherish.
