Seating Card Display Ideas

Seating Card Display Ideas

A seating card display at your party or wedding reception can carry the theme of your event and impress guests with your decorating skills. If you have a large guest list, place the cards at the entrance to your event, to direct people to the correct table. For parties of 20 or less, seating cards can also be placed directly on the tables. Does this Spark an idea?

Seating Card Favors

Punch holes in the corner of the seating cards and thread with ribbon in your event's colors. Tie the ribbon around a flower or a decorative favor that coordinates with your event's theme, such as a pinwheel for a carnival theme or seashells for a nautical theme.

Cork Board Display

Purchase a large cork board and decorative push pins. Pin the seating cards in alphabetical order on the board for a more casual approach to a seating card display.

Ribbon Display

For a more elegant option, cover a piece of cork or foam board with a decorative fabric, such as dupioni silk. Buy coordinating ribbons. Space the ribbons evenly and horizontally across the board, pinning them tightly at the back with straight pins (or use hot glue to secure). Use tented seating cards and slip them onto the ribbon display.

Tableside Cut-Out Display

For seating cards placed on the tables, use a die-cut machine or a craft knife and stencils to cut out each guest's first name and last initial onto heavy folded cards. Place the cards on each guest's plate.
