How to Make Your Own Screwdriver Holders From PVC Pipe

How to Make Your Own Screwdriver Holders From PVC Pipe

Various lengths and diameters of PVC pipe can be used to organize screwdrivers, as well as hammers and other tool essentials. A rotating base makes it easy to swivel the organizer to find exactly what you need, when you need it. No more time will be wasted scouring through a disorganized toolbox or searching around the house, because these PVC pipe screwdriver holders are quick to assemble and inexpensive to create. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Place the round board upside down on a work surface. Center the lazy Susan bearing upside down on the board so the largest center hole rests against the wood.

    2

Align the holes in the top and bottom of the bearing. Match up the 3/4-inch holes in the bottom of the bearing with the medium holes in the top, and the 5/16-inch holes in the bottom with the small holes in the top.

    3

Pass a pencil through the hole locations and mark their spots on the round board. Remove the bearing from the board.

    4

Drill holes in the board at the spots you marked, using a drill loaded with a drill bit.

    5

Place the bearing back on the board. Align the holes in the bearing with the holes you drilled in the board. Secure the bearing to the board by driving screws through the holes and into the board.

    6

Glue rubber or felt to the bottom of the lazy Susan attachment with instant-bonding glue. This will prevent damage to the surface that the organizer sits on.

    7

Cut PVC pipe into various lengths to hold your tools and fasteners. Mix large and small diameters of pipe to hold various tools. Cut longer pieces to hold screwdrivers and hammers. Cut short segments, such as 2 inches long, to hold loose screws or nails.

    8

Glue the PVC pipe directly onto the wood base, using PVC cement or instant-bonding glue. Insert your tools and fasteners into the holders when the glue is dry.
