How to Make An Apple Placecard Holder

Setting your dinner table with natural elements is a great way to celebrate harvest time. Apple place-card holders look delicious and add color to your table. Each guest can keep his apple to savor later. Add a big bowl of polished apples in the center of your table for a coordinating centerpiece. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Wash and dry each apple. Polish until shiny.

    2

Cut out the shape of a leaf from the card stock paper. Cut enough for each place card. Gently bend each leaf in the middle but do not crease.

    3

Write each guest's name on the leaf.

    4

Punch a hole in one end of each leaf.

    5

Cut the twine or raffia into 6-inch pieces. Cut as many as you need.

    6

Thread a piece of twine or raffia through the hole punched in a leaf. Tie around the stem of the apple and either tie into a bow or knot. Repeat for each leaf and apple.

    7

Set an apple one each plate at the table.
